Adding a Mask Filter in Streamlabs
As of the latest updates, Streamlabs does not have a built-in mask filter feature similar to OBS’s Image Mask/Blend filter. However, you can achieve similar effects by using workarounds such as pre-rendered overlays.
Workaround Method: Using Pre-rendered Overlays
Create a Mask Overlay:
- Use graphic design software (like Photoshop or GIMP) to create an image with your desired mask effect. This image should include your webcam feed area as a transparent cutout.
Add the Mask Overlay to Streamlabs:
- Log in to Streamlabs: Go to the StreamElements website and log in with your streaming account.
- Access Overlays: Click on “Dashboard” and then “My Overlays.”
- Create/Edit an Overlay: Click “Create New Overlay” or edit an existing overlay.
- Add a New Source: Click the “+” button to add a new source, then choose “Image” to upload your pre-rendered mask overlay.
- Position the Overlay: Place and resize the overlay on top of your webcam source to achieve the mask effect.
Position Webcam Source:
- Ensure your webcam source is below the mask overlay in the source list so that the webcam feed is visible through the mask cutout.
Save and Test:
- Save your overlay and test it to ensure the mask effect looks as intended.
